Community of Practice as implementation strategy1355factors were the ease of access to the NAF online tool. Furthermore, it was suggested that when care staff realise that using NAF facilitated the inclusion of clients%u2019 perspectives on involuntary care in their decision-making, they would be more likely to see its added value, potentially enhancing regular use. Moreover, best practices with NAF in one care team could be shared with other teams to encourage wider adoption.Implementers then considered what type of implementation intervention would be most appropriate. Ideas that came up were informing the organisation%u2019s board and managers about NAF, approaching local opinion leaders and clients who could promote NAF, creating visuals to easily inform care staff, and sending e-mails and newsletters. By exchanging these ideas collaboratively in the CoP, and filtering out the core elements of these interventions, implementers determined that the first intervention should be informational. Choosing a common second implementation intervention was hindered by Covid-19. Organisations A, B, and C preferred an educational intervention. However, because visiting care homes was not allowed under Covid-19 restrictions this was deemed not feasible. Organisation D preferred an intervention that motivated care staff to engage with NAF and use it for a client%u2019s case, as care staff would be invited to reflect on the value of NAF at a later date. Organisation A added the idea that engaging experts-byexperience could motivate care staff to use NAF. After considering these various options and barriers, implementers concluded that a motivational intervention suited best.In deciding on a third implementation intervention, implementers relied on their experiences with executing the second intervention. They indicated that knowledge about the main purpose of the CCA was lacking among care staff. Education about the CCA in general could be linked to NAF, because this e-tool aimed to involve clients%u2019 perspectives. Repeated use of NAF in team meetings where the behaviour specialist is present to answer questions was another educational idea to boost implementation. Hence, CoP participants agreed that the third implementation intervention should be educational.
