DISCUSSION
This is the first study demonstrating that 7T-fMRI is a suitable technique to study motor behaviour of the pelvic floor in the whole brain of male individuals, showing concomi- tant cortical, subcortical and cerebellar activation. The superomedial M1, inferolateral M1, SMA, MCG, the putamen, the thalamus (VL/VA) and the cerebellum were activated during contraction of the pelvic floor. The similarities and differences between the results of the individuals and the group results, tell us more about the genesis of group results and applicability of group results in individuals.
