Community of Practice as implementation strategy1255levels than care staff from control organisations, that is organisations that implemented NAF without participating in a CoP? 2 Did care staff from participating organisations in a CoP for implementing NAF show a stronger increase in considering clients%u2019 perspectives on involuntary care than care staff from control organisations, that is organisations that implemented NAF without participating in a CoP? The second aim was to describe the implementation process based on the ItFits toolkit and understand how participants made design choices in three consecutive tailored implementation interventions. The research questions were:1 How were choices for implementation interventions made by the CoP participants?2 How were implementation interventions tailored by CoP participants to fit organisations%u2019 needs?3 How did CoP participants reflect on carrying out their designed implementation interventions?Method Study Design This study had a quasi-experimental, multi-method design involving seven intellectual disability care organisations. Four organisations chose to participate in the CoP to develop an implementation plan for the NAF, while three opted for implementation-as-usual. Care staff of seventeen teams (10 in the experimental condition, 7 in the control condition) filled out two questionnaires, one on implementation and one on awareness of taking clients%u2019 perspectives. Questionnaire data were gathered at pre-test (T1) and at three successive post-tests (T2, T3, and T4), following the execution of each implementation intervention within the experimental group%u2019s organisations, along with a follow-up test (T5). For qualitative analyses recordings of CoP meetings and descriptions of tailored implementation interventions were analysed. Figure 1 provides a visual representation of the study%u2019s design.
