CONCLUSIONS
Based on the study and future perspective in this thesis, to maintain bone homeostasis and health, a physically active lifestyle is of great importance. The interaction between bone cells and physico-chemical niche conditions may provide clues towards the development of new therapeutic strategies for musculoskeletal diseases (e.g. osteopenia/osteoporosis, osteopetrosis, sarcopenia), nucleus diseases (e.g. Hutchinson-Gilford syndrome), and mitochondrial diseases (e.g. Wilson’ s disease, multiple sclerosis).
