Frames at baseline (T0) and 2 weeks (T2), 5 weeks (T5) and 11 weeks (T11) after irradiation (IR) are presented. Yellow arrows and encircled areas point to the microangiopathy phenomenon observed in the form of bud-like telangiectasias. Total vessel density (TVD) was reduced in T11 compared to T0 (p<0.05).
Mandibular bone histology
Mandibular histological specimens from groups I-IV were compared to healthy age-matched specimens. Group I did not show any deviating findings compared to healthy non-irradiated tissue. There was a gradual increase of pathological changes observed in groups II-IV. Group II showed a slight
