Implementation interventions through the lens of Normalisation Process Theory1054implementation intervention was observed more than once in a MDET phase, this intervention was still counted only once. The overview showed 317 professional implementation interventions. Most interventions were observed in the first phase (91), second phase (78) and fourth phase (75). Consensus Processes were most frequently observed (67). Closely followed by Client-Related Interventions (60) and Educational OutreachTreatment Interventions (50). Distribution of Educational Materials (DEM) was least observed (3). Table 3. Mapping adaptations of EPOC professional interventions to social mechanisms of Normalisation Process TheoryTo understand how professional implementation interventions may have initiated the social mechanisms of Normalisation Process Theory during implementation of MDET, a NPT-EPOC coding framework-adapted for MDET was developed (Table 4), following the example of Johnson and May (2015). The order of EPOC professional interventions was based on the range of interventions (Table 3). The table shows that frequently used EPOC implementation interventions linked to a multiplicity of social mechanisms, whereas less frequently used interventions were linked to one or just a few social mechanisms.
