154Marques and Christos Boutsioukis for interesting discussions, and their advice and moral support during the doctoral process. I would like to thank John Whitworth, Casper Kruse and Fadi Jarad, my colleagues from the Education and Scholarship Committee of the European Society of Endodontology. Our collaboration and their believe in me was – and is – of very great value to me, and it was of significant help to continue with my work. Needless to say that there are much more colleagues who contributed to my doctoral process one way or another and I am grateful to them all. This includes not only my colleagues, and former colleagues, within ACTA but also all my wonderful colleagues from the practice and not to mention the endodontists in the Netherlands. I was touched by how many of you were in the audience when I presented my research in the European Society of Endodontology Education Prize Competitions in Barcelona and Brussels. The interest of my various colleagues in the project and also the nice conversations were very welcome. I would also like to thank the undergraduate dental students. I could not have done it, but also would not have done it of course, without them; they are the core of this research project. Besides, I am grateful for the rewarding one, as a teacher, gets from them. Last but not least, I would like to thank my family and friends. Thank you for your understanding and for being there for me! Many, many thanks!Annemarie Baaij.indd 154 28-06-2023 12:26
