Chapter 4
According to Oliphint, “...any notion of proper function with respect to our cognitive creation and shows himself to human beings through his creation” (referring to Romans they correspond to the reality of God’s creation. But he adds that this “rational aspect is s created and sustained by the triune God.” : “Proper function seems to be exactly what was lost at the fall.”
what does ‘adequate’ in contrast to ‘proper’ function mean? The answer given by Oliphint
Oliphint adds that even adequate functioning is dependent on “an acknowledgement God who reveals himself, and who came to save his own in his Son.”
dependent on God’s sustaining activity in creation for their knowledge formation and the acknowledgement
