Novice dentists’ self-efficacy895and referral behaviour may be influenced by the combination of practitioners’ skills, their experience and self-efficacy, and their knowledge about and confidence in treatment options (Taha et al. 2019).Conclusion The self-efficacy of novice dentists in Endodontics generally increased within the first year following their graduation. The increase in self-efficacy was greater for those who had low self-efficacy at graduation than for those who already had high self-efficacy. Performing root canal treatments was an important factor in building up self-efficacy.Funding informationThis study was not supported by any funds.Conflict of interestThe authors have stated explicitly that there are no conflicts of interest in connection with this article.Ethical statement This study has been independently reviewed and approved by an ethical board.
