how SRL is a process that is context-dependent. The importance of context on SRL is emphasized further by Butler and Car er, advoca ng that SRL processes are highly dependent on context and should be studied as such.27,28 An adap on of their model of how self-regulated learning is nested in mul ple layers of context is depicted in  gure 1.

Because of the importance of a context on SRL, it is important to de ne what context is. In this thesis, I use a construc vist theory on learning and de ne context to be: an occasional, rela onal property between objects and ac vi es that arises from ac ity and which features are de ned dynamically.30
