De woorden zijn beperkt, de dank is oneindig. Ook bedankt aan al mijn andere lieve familie en vrienden die ik hier niet persoonlijk kan bedanken. Jullie weten wie jullie zijn.
Jack, as someone who understands the true meaning of craftsmanship, I dedicate this book to you. You are the most important person in my life and I cannot imagine someone better to grow up with. Together we share the past, present and the future. Now with the two of us, and soon with a little munchkin on our side. You were not the audience but the main cast in my PhD. You understand me better than I understand myself some- times. You make me feel like I am never alone. You teach me how to let go of control and relax into the unpredictability of life. You support all of my creative experiments and never curb my enthusiasm. Thank you for encouraging me to walk through my PhD in my own way. Gracias for your support when I was doing fieldwork in Spain. Toda Raba for your patience when I was immersed in my own conceptual world. Bedankt for pouring me a cup of wine when I was pulling all-nighters. You showed me that “it does not matter what you do, what matters is how you do it”. You are more than words.
