ABOUT THE AUTHOR
Jianfeng Jin was born on 12th October, 1984 in Poyang, Jiangxi, China. In 2009 he received his DDS degree in Dentistry from Kunming Medical University in China. In 2012 he finished his Master studies in Prosthodontics at Kunming Medical University, China, where he investigated the effect of modified ceramic whiskers on the mechanical properties of composite resin under the supervision of prof.dr. Wenyun Zhang. The work was carried out in the department of Inorganic Nonmetallic Materials at Kunming University of Science and Technology, China. From 2012
to 2016, he worked at Kunming Municipal Stomatology Hospital as a general dentist. During 2014 - 2017, he studied in the department of Periodontology at the Fourth Military Medical University, China, supervised by prof.dr. Qintao Wang and prof.dr. Yumei Zhang. He worked on a project about fabrication and characterization of Ti-GO-Ag multiphase composite with enhanced antimicrobial and biological activity. In 2017 he started his PhD studies in the department of Oral Cell Biology at Academic Centre for Dentistry Amsterdam (ACTA), University of Amsterdam and Vrije Universiteit Amsterdam, Amsterdam, The Netherlands. His PhD studies resulted in the thesis entitled “Physico-Chemical Niche Conditions for Bone Cells” (promotors: prof.dr. Jenneke Klein Nulend, Department of Oral Cell Biology, and prof.dr. Richard T. Jaspers, Faculty of Behavioural and Movement Sciences; copromotors: dr. Astrid D. Bakker, department of Oral Cell Biology, and dr. Gang Wu, department of Oral Implantology and Prosthetic Dentistry).
