Unfortunately, not every project is destined to succeed, despite your endless input, patience, and perseverance. I am grateful for your enthusiasm, honesty, your desire to learn, and the lessons you taught me on the way. Sometimes I might have been a bit strict, but please know that I wish nothing but the absolute best for you guys (and gal)!
There were also loads of people outside of ORC helping me, starting with Koen and Lina. I really liked our bimonthly(-ish) discussions, and I have learned a lot from you guys in fields I was fully unaware of before this journey. I am, however, grateful that we do not have to make any more shared posters/presentations anymore!JThank you, and I am looking forward to your defence Lina!
I would also like to thank Daniel from the Radboud University for the nice collaboration on our cpTCO-paper, it really was a smooth project from start to finish! Also a big thank you to the amazing people from SynAffix, who helped me before, during and even after my PhD. A special thanks to Remon for explaining me many antibody-related issues, as well as helping me with analysis on multiple occasions! A final thank you to Adrie and Willem from the Wageningen biochemistry department. Your help early in my PhD really helped me understand how to handle proteins and the analysis thereof, and we still use some of your equipment with lots of gratitude!

Ik heb gelezen... dat ik de beste vrienden in de wereld heb. Ik wil jullie bedanken voor de ontelbare discord-game sessies, LAN-parties, Dungeons and Dragons games, vakantie naar Nieuw-Zeeland (prachtige schapen!), kroeg-sessies, etentjes en eindeloze goede herinneringen. Zonder jullie had ik het niet vol gehouden. Homies 4 life!
Pap en mam, Robin en Loes (+ Domien en Elsie) en ook de rest van mijn familie. Jullie hebben het grondwerk gelegd voor de afgelopen jaren, door altijd in mij te hebben geloofd. Ondanks dat jullie soms niet begrepen waar ik het over had, ging dat jullie niet uit de weg om interesse te tonen en tóch nog een keer te vragen hoe het nu allemaal zat. Bedankt voor alles.
