Multivariate analysis of risk factors
A multivariate Cox regression analysis was performed by employing as risk factors primary tumor (Tomita modified, moderate growth HR 1.7, 95%CI 0.9- 3.3, p=0.099, fast growth HR 3.1, 95%CI 1.6-6.2, p=0.001), presence of visceral metastases (HR 1.7, 95%CI 1.0-2.9, p=0.033) and performance status (KPS 50- 70 HR 1.3, 95% CI 0.8-2.1, p=0.292, KPS 10-40 HR 2.7, 95%CI 1.1-6.6, p=0.025) (table 7).
