It may be of theoretical interest to apply experimental control to these contextual factors to test their effects on program effectiveness. However, to add insight into implementation of care innovations, effectiveness across organizations may also be tested when interventions are conducted to optimize the organization- specific implementation factors (May, Johnson, & Finch, 2016).
