Page 178 - Physico-Chemical Niche Conditions for Bone Cells
P. 178

General summary
Collectively, physicochemical niche conditions do affect cell body, mitochondria, and nucleus shape and structure, as well as the behavior and function of bone cells. Microenvironmental mechanosensing and mechanotransduction play important roles to regulate bone cell changes in morphology, structure, and function. Investigation of these processes gives us further opportunities to learn and elucidate the mechanisms of mechanosensing of physicochemical niche conditions and mechanobiology of normal cells. This knowledge might provide new strategies for bone disease treatment and bone regeneration.
